If you’ve follow me on social media you may have noticed that we’ve just got back from a 2 week holiday to Menorca. We had a wonderful time – beside getting ill half way through but we won’t talk about that – and, of course, I took a lot of photos.
If I was to show you every single photo we’d be looking at nearly 200 photos, which I’m sure you probably don’t want to see! Instead I thought I’d share with you my favourite photos from the holiday and what we got up to whilst we were away.
Menorca 21st May – 4th June 2018
We stayed at the Marinda Garden Hotel in the Cala’n Bosch area. The hotel is really nice and it’s in a lovely location near a marina with lots of restaurants and shops. It’s attached to Menorca’s biggest waterpark which you get entry to for your whole stay included.
I think the main downside we personally felt to the hotel was the food/restaurant. The food selection was… random. I know buffets are meant to be random but that’s the only way I can explain it. You wouldn’t find the normal selection you’d get at a buffet abroad. The choice for children was rubbish. There’s a specific buffet for children which didn’t open till half way through our holiday but it was still rubbish. Some days there was barely anything Oliver would eat. The best way to explain it is that it didn’t cater for picky children. We often saw some children walking away with just a plate of chips. In the children buffet they’d be about 3 things suitable for dinner and then there was a HUGE desserts section – Obviously the kids would love this, but I don’t exactly want my son eating sweets for dinner.
We were so lucky with the weather; it was beautiful almost every single day! We had about 2 days of it being cloudy and raining, but they were the last 2 days so we didn’t mind so much.
All in all we had a wonderful holiday and I’m missing being in the sun already.
