Since I started blogging I have been lucky enough to meet some absolutely lovely bloggers from all different blogging genres; parenting, travel, beauty, fashion and many more. That’s the beauty of social media, you’re able to make friends with people from all over the world.
Out of all of the different social media’s around, Twitter is by far the platform I’ve used the most. I’ve used it to make friends, promote my blog posts, read other blogs and get involved in ‘Twitter Chats’. I personally love using Twitter to find other blogs to read and to promote my own, and I love retweet accounts. They’re a great way to get your post seen by lots of other lovely bloggers who may just be the next reader to your own blog!
Recently I was talking to Helen from the The Hels Project about retweet accounts and we realised we couldn’t find a retweet account for us parent bloggers. There are plenty for other genres or general ones for all bloggers, but I find promoting myself to someone who hasn’t got children seems a bit… weird? It’s probably the last sort of post they’d want to read! So what we’ve decided to do is create a retweet account for parent bloggers!
Parent Blogs RT
Parent Blogs RT (@parentblogsRT) is our new retweet account for parent bloggers! It’ll be a place for parent bloggers to tag us in their parent blog post tweets to then be retweeted to people who love reading parent blogs – Simple! All you need to do is follow us over at @parentblogsRT on twitter and tag us in your parent related blog tweets, then once we’re online and have received the notification we’ll retweet you – Obviously as we’re both parents we won’t be online 24/7, however we’ll both be logging in on a daily basis so we don’t miss any tweets! We would love your help by following us, getting involved and sharing the love.
I am so excited to get stuck in on this new project of ours. I’m hoping it’ll grow into a place where all parent bloggers can go to find new blogs to read. I personally can’t wait to see what blogs I find! If you’re a parent bloggers or you just love to read parent blogs please give us a follow!
