I haven’t taken part in the Living Arrows link up for a long while, so I thought it was time I did so. So here’s my first Living Arrows of 2018. Last week we got up to a lot which was really nice. We’ve spent a lot of time indoors lately just because of how cold it is. We went to the zoo with a friend last Tuesday and over the weekend we got to see both sets of Oliver’s grandparents.
Tuesday 30th January
At our local zoo, which I’ve written about before in another Living Arrows post, there is a big soft play centre. As we know our zoo pretty well we’d been around the whole zoo before 2pm, so we thought we’d pop into the soft play area and let Oliver have a run around. He bloody loved it.
We rarely go to soft play centres (mainly because I can’t bare them alone!) so it took a while for Oliver to realise he could just GO for it. After about 15mins he was off going up and down the slide, chatting with other children and playing with all the balls – or more like tidying them up! His big beaming smile when he’s having fun melts my heart, so I really want to go more often.
Sunday 4th February
The day before we went out for a meal with my in-laws and family which was so nice as we rarely get to see the whole family together! On Sunday we spent the day round my parents. Oliver’s routine is to arrive and go straight for the toy box in his grandparents dining room – it’s quite adorable actually! He’s started to role play a bit more lately and he pretends to talk on the phone. My Mum decided to phone my Dads phone and give it to Oliver so he could have a real chat and it was so cute! He was a bit confused to begin with but he soon started to talk.
I’m hoping to carry on taking part in the Living Arrows link up, as I love looking at the memories we’ve created. Do you take part in the Living Arrows link up? Let me know if you do, I’d love to read them!
