Christmas Tableware Wishlist

This is the first year in our new house with a dining room so we’ve decided to host Christmas this year! I seriously cannot contain how excited I am – but you can probably guess I’m excited seeing as it’s October and I’m writing about Christmas… But hey, I did a twitter poll and you guys are okay with it! We have a blank canvas for a dining room so I’m planning to go super Christmassy with the tableware and decorations. As this will be the first year we’ve hosted Christmas we have no Christmas tableware what-so-ever. Which only means one thing… I get to go Christmas decor shopping!

I thought I’d focus on tableware decorations for now, as no doubt I will do more Christmas wishlists. There is so much I want. I just don’t want the plain old plates and glasses that we usually use. No doubt there will be so much more than I’ll want but these were the things that came to the top of my head that I’d want in our dining room.

Eeee It’s making me so excited for Christmas. I think I’d have the nutcrackers on our sideboard, the light up tree on one of the walls and the rest on the table. My plan with the candle was to put it in the glass silver plate and scatter the Holly and berry confetti around the candle on the plate. To be honest, I don’t really know where I’d put the fairy lights but I felt like Christmas dinner needed some fairy lights around! If you have any ideas of where you think I should put them, let me know in the comments!

I can totally tell I’m going to go mad with Christmas, and I know for a fact my parents will read this and will be screaming down their phones at me – I won’t go too mad, I promise!

  • I’m already feeling much too festive and it isn’t even Halloween yet, eek! I’m sure you’ll have a lovely time hosting Christmas this year, it really is a lovely excuse to get everyone together and enjoy a few board games and sing songs as a family! Those Christmas nutcrackers are gorgeous, I love their rustic charm! Holly confetti is an essential too hehe! Merry October 😉
