A Walk Around Alton Water – Living Arrows [37/52 2017]

I’m back for my second post in the Living Arrows linky! If you haven’t read my first, you can find it here. This linky is brought to us by Donna from What The Redhead Said, and I’m super excited to be taking part for my second week. The aim is to share one photo or more of what your little one got up to the previous week. It’s such a great way to create memories you can look back on.

I’ve not taken many photos the past week. We’ve not actually been up to much but also both myself and Oliver have been ill so that’s taken it’s toll. Since last weeks Living Arrows post, I’ve only managed to take photos today. I don’t know if this counts as cheating… I’ll make it work!

Thursday 14th September 2017

Today was the first day we’ve been out of the house in a long while. I could tell by Oliver’s reaction when I was putting him in his car seat that he was relieved to be getting out. I felt so guilty so I took him to a local lake with a nice long walk so he could go crazy.

Walk Around Alton Water

He absolutely loved it! It was nice and quiet so I didn’t have to worry about Oliver running off to join another family. I wish I found this place earlier. It would have been perfect during summer. There is a little cafe and visitors centre, plus if you walk around it’s 8 miles in total, so enough to keep you busy!

I tend to spam the camera when taking photos of Oliver and I managed to capture this beauty! He looks like he’s plotting some serious business! My husband says he looks like he’s doing an impression of Mr Burns from The Simpsons….

Oliver out for a walk

It was really nice to get out and about. I missed the fresh air! Our house seemed to be full of illnesses the past week or so, so I have my fingers crossed we’ve seen the end of it! We have a few things planned for the week ahead, so I’m hoping I manage to take a few more photos. What have you all been up to this week?

This looks like such a beautiful place for a day out! We’re trying to squeeze in as many outdoorsy days out as possible before winter sets in x

It looks like a fab place for exploring – especially for a toddler 🙂 #LivingArrows

Haha your comment about Oliver’s hands being reminiscent of Mr Burns did make me giggle! He does look like he’s up to some mischeif! So glad that you had such a wonderful day together, I hope you’re able to go back soon! I went to Alton Water on a Girl guiding camp years ago and loved it, its a very nice place!
