Fairy And Elf Festival at Audley End Miniature Railway

This summer at Audley End Miniature Railway they are hosting their very own Fairy and Elf Festival. I love fun and unique days out so when I was contacted by Audley End Miniature Railway asking whether I’d like to take a visit I jumped at the chance! I’d known about the miniature railway for some time now and I wanted to visit, but I had no idea about their fairy and elf festival so I was rather excited! I wanted to share with you the photos that I took as the place was so beautiful!

Audley End Elf And Fairy Festival

There was colourful bunting everywhere, flowers attached to everything and beautiful tents for face painting and more! Fairies and Elves were walking around and every hour they’d sing Disney songs on their stage. It was quite the magical day! The weather wasn’t the best to begin with but it got better during the day luckily!

Of course my Mum and I had some face painting done. We tried to get Oliver sit still to have a little bit of face paint done and this is as far as we got! Oliver was quite sleepy and grumpy for the morning so he doesn’t look very happy in any of these photos, but I promise he did have fun! If you’ve got a child I’m sure you know how hard it can be to crack a smile out of them at the right time!

After having some lunch and a bit of face painting done, we had a walk around their Enchanted Fairy and Elf walk. Before you enter we had the chance to make a magical wand to take around with us. Obviously Oliver was a bit to young to do it himself, as all he wanted to do was put his hand in the glitter, so we made it for him. The walk was lovely and you could find all of the little fairies and their houses. You could even write a wish on a leaf and give it to a fairy called Christabel.

We had our train ride booked for 2pm and we knew Oliver would love it. He loves being noisy so riding on the train was perfect for him! The train ride took you round behind the festival into the trees, through some tunnels and past lots of teddy bear homes! I thought the ride wouldn’t be very long but it was about 15-20mins which was great! Oliver went on again with his Grandparents afterwards and he fell asleep during the ride! He must have felt very relaxed!
