We’ve Moved Home

I haven’t published a post for 2 weeks now, but if you follow me on Twitter you would have seen we’ve recently moved home! We’ve moved from renting a house in our home county of Essex to buying our first house in Suffolk. This house purchase has been in the works since January so it feels amazing to finally be in our new home.

In the past 3 years we’ve moved 3 times, but I’m so happy knowing this should be the last time we move for at least 5 or so years! Moving home is such hard work, especially if it’s more than just a town away. We did our move in 2 days with the help of our family, so a huge thank you to them!

We started decorating the day we got the keys, and I’m enjoying it so much! We’re so close to finishing Oliver’s bedroom, which has been painted a bright green (pictured below) – I love it! The photo above is a corner of our living room (Please excuse the mess!). We’re painting it this blue/teal shade with a grey fireplace feature wall. We’re getting carpet fitted next Tuesday and new furniture the day after, so hopefully by the end of next week the room may be finished!

I think we’ll start working on either our kitchen or the dining room next. The dining room is a blank canvas right now, so we can start pretty much when the room has been cleared – it’s our dumping ground right now! The kitchen at the moment is a red/orange shade which, I’ll be honest, has not been decorated very well by the previous owners, so it’s going to need a lot of work!

I’m hoping to write a few blog posts on our home improvements as we have lots to do, so keep an eye out for them within the next month or two!

We’ve only just had our WiFi fitted today, hence why I’m only just writing this post, so thanks for bearing with me and sticking around. I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things, with my blog and my store, I’ve missed working on them!

Happy new home to you! Good on your family helping you guys move so quickly – the colours you've chosen are so pretty too! Hopefully the kitchen isn't too big a task!
