Celebrating One Year Of Blogging – Q&A

I can’t believe it’s already been one year since I started this blog. It feels like our lives have changed so much since! When I started this blog I was pregnant with my son, Oliver, and now he’s 10 months old and is basically our world. I went to Twitter to find out what post you wanted me to do to celebrate one year of blogging and a Q&A came out top. I’ve never done a Q&A so I was super excited to see what questions people came up with.

I received lots of amazing questions so let’s dive straight into them!

Helen from The Hels Project asked;

What’s the one thing you want to achieve from this year?

There are so many things I want to do this year, but the biggest thing I want to do is lose weight. I put on A LOT of weight in my pregnancy, so I want to get back to how I looked before I fell pregnant. Of course baby weight seems so much harder to lose, but I’m slowly getting there.. I’m 1 stone down, just 4 more to go! *Insert crying face here!!*

If you could be an animal, what would you be?

Oooo I think I’d be a dog. It doesn’t seem very original but I’ve always loved dogs. I grew up with a dog called Sally who I adored and she was always so loving.

What is your favourite photo of Oliver?

Eeee so many to choose from but I think it’s this one. I love how happy he is and his eyes are beautiful. This photo is from his 4 month photo shoot back in November last year.

Steph from Stephs World asked;

If you were to stick to one post type, what would it be?

It would definitely be baby related posts. I love writing about my son and being a parent, it is quite literally my life now. Parenting is a topic that I feel I can actually write about confidently.

How do you find blogging whilst looking after your little boy?

It is definitely a challenge! Luckily since Oliver’s bedtime has come forward it makes it easier to blog of an evening. My husband doesn’t mind me sitting on the sofa with my laptop typing away. I don’t ever attempt to blog during the day when I’m alone with Oliver as it’s impossible – he always wants to play with the laptop!

How often do you try blogging per week?

To be honest I only blog a couple of times a week. It sometimes can be more, or sometimes even less. It all depends on how I’m feeling, if I have many ideas for posts and how busy my week is.

What is your favourite food/meal/drink?

Hmm well I kinda love all food, but if I had to choose I think I’d choose Enchiladas. If I’m going to be specific to a meal at a restaurant it would 100% be the Nachos from Miller and Carter. I have them every single time I go without fail – they’re my favourite nachos I’ve ever had. Thinking about them is making me want them so badly! Thanks Steph, haha!

Catherine (My cousin) asks;

Do you think blogging has helped you deal with personal difficulties that have arisen since you started it?

I think once I took some time to myself to figure out what I wanted with my blog it has definitely helped me. This blog is a place for me to escape to and write about whatever I want. When I put too much pressure on myself to make sure I was writing enough content it just added to any issues I already had, but now this blog is more for me it’s much better.

Do you think blogging has made you more confident offline and why?
Absolutely. A mix of blogging and having a child has made me more confident and feel better about myself. Since chatting to other bloggers online I’ve made new friends and we have future plans to meet offline which is awesome. Having this blog and making blogger friends has also given me confidence to start things that I’ve always wanted to do like open an online store, write a childrens book and much more.

Nathan (My husband. Yes I made him ask me a question!) asks;

Where is the number one place in the world you want to travel?

There is so many places in the world I want to visit, but at the moment I think the place on the top of my travel bucket list is New Zealand. The country is absolutely beautiful and it’s home to Hobbiton, which I’m desperate to go to. I hope I’ll get to visit the country one day.

Thanks so much for giving me some questions to answer, and thank you all for a great first year. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. I have so many plans and I can’t wait to get started. Thanks for all of your support, it means so much.

Here’s to the next year!
