Since 2017 started I’ve become obsessed with making cards – It’s pretty much what I do of an evening when I wan’t to relax in silence (and when my son is fast asleep!). I’ve also become a decorative paper hoarder… I’m constantly popping into Hobbycraft and checking out if they have any new paper packs, and if they do I usually buy them! The range of paper packs are endless and I’m a sucker if I see some I haven’t got – it can become quite expensive!
(Please excuse the photos taken on my living room floor, our table was being used!)
This month I’ve found some designs that I absolutely love and I’m going to be so upset when they’re gone. Some have been exclusive freebies in magazines so I don’t think I can ever buy them again! I thought I’d share with you my favourite crafting paper that I’ve used this month. Get ready for the photo spam!
I bought the Bloom Collection from Hobby Craft a few weeks ago and I’ve just started to use it. It has some gorgeous prints which are perfect for Spring.
This next pack is the Story Teller Collection. I, again, bought this a few weeks ago in Hobbycraft and I’m still trying to think of the perfect project to use these on. They’re so colourful and unique, I love them! They have quite a retro look to them. If you have a suggestion let me know in the comments!
The Spring Fling Collection, clearly made for this time of the year, I also bought from Hobbycraft. The pack is quite similar to the Bloom Collection, but I couldn’t only get one of them…
These 3 packs from Hobbycraft are all 6″ by 6″, so perfect for card making.
The last paper pack was an exclusive freebie in Aprils edition to Making Cards Magazine. I LOVE all of the designs in this. They’re so different and include Llamas and Cacti! I’ll be so sad to see these all used up and I would 100% buy them again, I may have to buy another copy of the magazine just to get the free papers…..
I recently made a card using paper from this pack and because I love it so much I had to share it with you.
The thing I love about decorative paper is you can do so much with them; greetings cards, scrap booking, framed designs, origami… The ideas are endless! Personally for me I most enjoy making cards but I do plan to expand and start scrap booking for my family and creating framed designs to give out as handmade presents to family.
I hope to do a few tutorials in the near future of cards I make, but I thought I’d get the crafting ball rolling for this blog. I am loving paper craft, and I don’t know why I didn’t start sooner!
